Having now installed the four multimedia applications written by Synology for our NAS. This month we will be taking a look at backups. First we will configure our NAS so that it can act as an Apple style Time Capsule backup solution. The backup share that we create on our NAS can be used with both Apple Macintosh and Windows 10 computers.
We will then take a look at installing and configuring an application called Hyper backup. This application is also written by Synology and will allow us to create both onsite and cloud backup solutions. With luck we will have enough time too also post a few more Synology NAS quick tip videos.
