When you set up a pair of Apple AirPods, they usually get the name of the device you’re pairing them with. But sometimes, they might use the wrong name. In this video, we’ll show you how to change the name of your AirPods from an iPhone.
Note: When you set up your Apple AirPods, they’ll take their name from the device you’re using to set them up. For instance, if your iPhone is named “iPhone,” your AirPods will be named “iPhone’s AirPods.”
- Open the lid of your AirPods
- Now from your iPhone select Settings
- Your AirPods should be list under Settings
- Select your AirPods
- When you are taken to the controls for your AirPods, locate Name and tap on it
- Edit the default name your AirPods were assigned with
- Select the back button and close out of Settings to update the name of your AirPods
Notes: If you do not use an Apple iPhone, but connect your AirPods to an Apple Macintosh computer. You can change the name of your Apple AirPods by follow the same process as above.
