As there are two ways to factory reset a Google WiFi Pro, in this video we demonstrate both methods. However it should be noted that Google do not recommend that you perform a factory reset directly from the device.
Note: We suspect that while you can perform a factory reset directly from a Google WiFi Pro. If the router is not connected to the internet. The router will not be able to de-authorise itself from your Google account. This has a knock on effect, where a ghost instance of your router will appear in the Google Home app. So you will need to wait for up to six months, before Google will automatically remove your old WiFi network from Google Home. 
- Open the Google Home app
 
- From within the Home app select Favourites 
 
- Locate and choose Network Settings
 
- At the bottom of the panel you will find Factory reset entire network
 
- When prompted you will need to confirm that you wish to factory reset your entire network
 
Note: Performing a factory reset will remove all settings from your router. It will also factory reset any access points that are acting as a mesh network. 
-  You may need to wait for up to 10 minutes for the factory reset process to complete.
 
- You will know that your Nest WiFi Pro has been reset when the status light on the router changes to a slow pulsing blue light. 
 
  
- Locate the reset button on the bottom of the router
 
- Using a pen with its lid on, press and hold down the reset button for roughly 12 seconds 
 
- The status light on the router will start to flash yellow, and then change to a solid yellow. At this point you can release the reset button
 
- The router and the access points that make up your mesh network, will now factory reset 
 
- You need to wait until the status light on the router and any access points, start to  slowly pulse blue
 
Note: Do not remove the power from your Google Nest WiFi Pro, until the status light on the front of the router starts to slowly pulse blue. As removing the power during the reset process, could damage your hardware beyond repair.
