Note: You will need to use a USB cable in order to connect your Android smartphone to your computer. However it should be noted that not all USB cables are the same. As some are manufactured to allow the transfer of data and power, while others can only transfer power.
- Connect one end of the USB cable to your smartphone, and the other to your computer
 
- ChromeOS will display a notification informing you that a removable device has been detected
 
- You now need to unlock your smartphone 
 
- Returning to ChromeOS, open Files
 
- In the sidebar of Files you will find listed your smartphone
 
- Select it to browser the storage in your phone
 
Note: You will see numerous folders relating to where data on your phone is stored. In order to access your camera roll, locate and select DCIM.
- Within DCIM, you will find a folder called Camera 
 
- Within the Camera folder you will find your photos and videos 
 
Note: For reference, ChromeOS will not allow you to copy files to your desktop. So you will need to use Files to save your photos or videos to a subfolder in My files.
