How to setup a Synology NAS Part 21: Using an Alias to load an application into a browser window


Synology have developed an number of applications for their Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. File Station is one such application. In this video we look at how you can configure your File Station so that it runs directly within a web browser window.

Please note that because we have not yet configured our NAS to be remotely accessible via the Internet. File Station will only be available to devices that are directly connected to our home network.

In a future video, we will look at how you can make a Synology NAS remotely accessible, but not before we have looked at how you created a backup schedule and secured Synology NAS.
