If you need to install or repair a network cable, having something like a Giganet Mini LAN cable tester in your tech toolkit can save you a lot of time and money. Particularly if like us, you don’t often crimp RJ45 plugs.
Note: While it’s said that the more you practice the better you will get at correctly connecting RJ45 plugs to network cables. The whole process is very fiddly and something I find incredibly frustrating to do. So while I’m still terrible at crimping. I do find it a little easier to use pass-through rather than regular RJ45 plugs.
