In this video, we are going to add a wireless printer to our Google Nest WiFi router, by taking a look at the IP Reservation function. To do this we will show you, how you connect a wireless printer to your Google Nest WiFi network, and the using IP reservation give it a static IP address.
Note: Assigning a static IP address to your printer will ensure that the devices connected to your network will always be able to connect to your printer. Also while the printer we use will probably not be the same as the one you have at home. The same basic principles will apply.
Note: Only printers that are wireless or have a network port can be configured in the way we will be demonstrating in this video. So if you have a printer that only has a USB port, you will not be able to connect your Printer to your Google Nest WiFi network using the method shown in the video.
